Board of Trustees

The Town of Meeker Board of Trustees and Mayor serve as the Town’s legislative body. The Board sets policy, determines the Town’s priorities and direction, adopts policies, resolutions, and ordinances, in accordance with the State Statutes and the Town’s ordinances.

The Board of Trustees is made up of one mayor and six trustees elected on a non-partisan basis, from the Town at large. The Board of Trustees serves a four-year term, overlapping with three trustees running in each election. If a Trustee resigns office during his/her term, the Board appoints a replacement until the next Municipal Election, at which time the seat is selected during the election. The Mayor serves a two-year term. The Municipal Election is held the first Tuesday of April in even numbered years. The Town Clerk administers the election.

The Board of Trustees meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. downstairs in the Board room at Town Hall, 345 Market Street.
