Abstract of Bids Water Valve Replacement
CLOSING BID DATE – February 14, 2023
This project includes the replacement of 9 water valves and the installation of appurtenant water fittings. The project site is located on Shaman Trail. The Project Owner is the Town of Meeker. The Project Engineer is Chris Hale, P.E. of Mountain Cross Engineering, Inc. in Glenwood Springs.
A complete set of plans, specifications, and contract documents may be obtained after January 19th, 2023 from Meeker Town Hall, 345 Market Street. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Meeker Town Hall, 345 Market Street, on February, 1st, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.
All Bid Proposals and Bid Security shall be sealed in an envelope with “Water Valve Replacement” written on the front. Bid Proposals shall be mailed or delivered to Meeker Town Hall, 345 Market Street, Meeker, CO 81641 by 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 14th, 2023. The bids will be opened and read aloud at a public meeting and will be awarded at a regularly scheduled Board of Trustees meeting on either Tuesday, February 21st or Tuesday, March 7th.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a check in the amount of 10% of the bid made payable to The Town of Meeker as bid security, along with 3 references for similar work. Performance and Payment Bonds are required. The successful bidder must maintain workers compensation and general liability insurance in the amount of no less than $1,000,000 during the project.
The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids; to change, add, or amend the specifications; to waive any informalities; and the right to disregard all non-conforming or conditional bids or counter proposals. Each proposal shall be reviewed and considered consistent with the provisions of the Town of Meeker Purchasing Policy.
